If you are looking for a safe pony or small horse, Sunny Buns is as easy as they come! He packs the kids around, yet he's stout enough for adults! He's ready for lessons, arena riding, trail riding or obstacle courses!

This gelding knows what a hard day’s work looks like. He was one of the primary workhorses for an Amish family in Iowa and is seasoned to real-life farm use. He’s broke to all types of machinery and can be hitched single, double, or driven from either side—making him as versatile as they come.

So why did we invest in a plow horse?

Aero is part of our family program and is a 16 hand, 2020 Friesian Sport Horse gelding. Februrary 2026 will mark one year since he joined our family.

Since joining our program, Aero has quickly stepped up and shown us many positive attributes, reinforcing the care and intention that has shaped him throughout his life.

When you first meet this beautiful boy you notice his size, shape, rich deep blood bay coloring, and the perfect heart marking on his forehead. We decided to call him "Hearts" - because after meeting him, he's going to steal yours! 

Maynard is a giant teddy bear!  I was actually able to purchase him out of Menno Miller's program. I had done a sale video for his then owners. It was cold out and we were all done when Menno told me to take him for a spin! I knew right away he was my type of horse! I have never driven a full size horse, but after seeing him go, I told Menno, I would like to learn to drive and I believe Maynard is the one to teach me.

When we first met "Sleepy Joe," we actually had a different name in mind: Vance. It was an election year, lol. We figured he would grow up and be a handsome one, and we were right, but what we didn't realize was that he would also turn out to be one of the calmest, most laid-back horess we've ever had!

Big Bob comes from friends of ours and out of a ranch horse and cutting operation. He is a 2023 gelding that we aquired early in his two year old year. He's showing so much promise in being the style of horse we will hold on to and keep around. 

This classy young filly checks all the boxes for quality, looks, talent and future potential! She's currently finishing up three months of professional training and making big strides in her education each week. She shows the talent to go in multiple directions - she's naturally soft and cadenced for the Western Pleasure, yet has the expression and presence to shine in the Ranch Riding and Ranch All-Around events.

Meet Tango — a 5-year-old buckskin Friesian cross that turns heads everywhere he goes, but it’s his mind and versatility that truly set him apart. At 15.3 hands, he’s the kind of horse that can safely pack around the kids one day, hit the trails the next, then step into the arena to ride English, Western, jump, or perform at liberty. Horses this beautiful, educated, and genuinely kind-hearted don’t come around often… Tango is the once-in-a-lifetime kind. 

Bluey is an exceptional AQHA registered gelding. He's currently being prepared for ranch classes.

Muffin is part of our family program.  He is a well-bred APHA gelding with a correct foundation and an exceptionally sensible way of going. He has been in our program since 2023, where he has proven himself to be an honest, talented individual with a cooperative mindset and is now being ridden by our 11 year old son. 

Hank is a striking 2019 black and white tovero gelding standing 15.3 hands tall. Sired by a Percheron and out of an AQHA mare, he’s the perfect blend of substance, sensibility, and color.

Started by the Amish at the beginning of his 2-, 3-, and 4-year-old years, Hank is broke to drive both single and double. After each round of training, he returned to his breeders to work on the ranch and explore the trails across the Midwest and the Black Hills.

Cash is a 2018, AQHA, Palomino gelding standing 14.3 Hands. He's an exceptionally well-bred all-around gelding with a phenomenal mind and a heart of gold. He’s the kind of horse that makes every ride feel easy — willing, kind, and versatile.

We purchased Sully in June of his two-year-old year and turned him out to grow and mature, giving him the time we felt he needed before beginning his education. Although he had 30 days of prior training, we chose to start from the ground up and build him our way.

"Red Bob" captivated us since the minute we saw him! He has a really cute look, adorable face, kind expression, and his mind & movment sealed the deal. He has continued to impress us with his demeanor and talent! He is talented enought to go to the show pen AND he's fantastic on the trails.

Rocky made an impression on Melissa from the start. She was actually hired to film his first premier horse sale video. Unfortunately as the sale approached, his owners experienced a devistating life event and were unable to attened. Rocky eventually got to call  Baus Horses home.  

This guy came directly from the people who raised him. He's a Gypsy Vanner x QH cross. We love the cross breds and are excited to bring you another special one! Rolex is as fancy as his name! He is SO FRIENDLY! Has a perfect personality, in your pocket but not pushy at all! His ground manners are essentially perfect, he doesn't make a wrong move. 

Tinkerbell is as goregeous as they come and has bloodlines of champions! 

We have known about Rocky for over a year, Melissa actually did his sale video in April of 2023. His previous owner had some devistating life events and this horse was not able to make his intended premier sale. We decided to purchase him because he has always struck us with his above average mind and nature! 

Broke to the trails and the arena, Whiskey is another gentle giant. He doesn't make a wrong move. He's stunning to look at and is so dependable in what we can expect out of him. He's a solid dude in both body and mind. He plays with the ball, tarp, crosses anything you point him towards. He also came off of his original breeder and was the family favorite.    

Spirit is a beautiful 15.2 hand buckskin Gypsy cross. He is a for sure a go to horse if you want to ride, don't have a ton of time-you want to have a fun, uncomplicated &  relaxing ride. We bragged on Rocky (above) for having smooth movement to him - well Spirit can hang with that too! His lope is incredible!!! You could sip your morning coffee safely while loping around on his back.

Bubbles is a 4yo, 14.3, dark brown Gypsy cross with an incredible future ahead of her! She came right from the breeder.  She's been down the country roads, out with cattle, around dogs, good with tarps, plays with the ball, yeilds to leg pressure, knows her leads, hauls great, stands for baths, she really has a great mind and a thoughtful foundation and she's pretty to boot! 

We call him Barney, not like the purple dinasaur, tho the kids would love that - think more like Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show. Not even in the sense of being silly or incompitent (because he is FAR from that), but more in the sense of a partner in crime that is always trying to do the right thing. Always there when you need him - a partner that's willing to do what is needed to get the job done.

The gentle giant “Goose” is one you don’t want to pass up! Absolutely a barn favorite and comes with a fan club! Impeccable ground manners and broke, broke, broke! Goose has been used to turnback cattle and has tons of experience on the trail. Traffic safe. You can or your kids can crawl all over this guy and he will enjoy every minute. He's a perfect gentleman for bathing, loading, worming, farrier, hauling, etc. He's enjoyable because he's consistent, responsive, athletic, level headed and ready whenever you are.

If you are looking for the ultimate family horse, forever horse and all around unicorn, you need to consider "Drapp". He's has a calm and even temperament, a gentle and friendly nature, very reliable, patient and doesn't get worked up. He's adaptable and trainable, he's willing to please and has a lot of try to him. This makes him an ideal candidate for multiple riders.

You must meet Chuck! Have you ever had a cool fun friend that you loved to hang out named Chuck? Because that's how this guy is, he's cool and fun! You will want to take him everywhere and introduce him to all of your friends. Chuck is a 2011 cross bred bay gelding. He's a big kind gelding that knows his job and tries hard to please. He's easy to be around, handle, bathe, saddle, bridle, stands tied wherever you put him. He will ride the same if he's out alone or with other horses.
