Maynard

Maynard is the definition of a giant teddy bear.

I had the opportunity to purchase him out of Menno Miller’s program after originally connecting with him while filming a sale video for his previous owners. It was one of those cold days where you wrap up and think you’re done—until Menno casually said, “Take him for a spin.”

That was all it took. I knew instantly he was my kind of horse.

I had never driven a full-sized horse before, but after watching him go and then sitting behind him myself, I told Menno I wanted to learn—and I believed Maynard was the one to teach me.

Maynard comes from a family that clearly values their horses. His sire and dam are both still at home, and he was raised with a level of care and intention that shows in everything he does. I’m really looking forward to visiting and meeting them someday.

His experience at such a young age is what makes him especially unique. He has driven alongside his sire and dam, with the dam’s 2025 foal traveling right alongside them. He’s been through town festivals, down wooded winter trails, and confidently along busy highways.

At just four years old, he’s been brought along the right way and already carries an incredible amount of real-world experience.

The current videos are from when I first met him and filmed for his marketing—we’ll be updating those as we move into summer and continue his journey.

We’re truly excited to be part of Maynard’s story and to keep building on the foundation that’s already there, shaping him into an even more elite gelding.
