Sully - Sold

We purchased Sully in June of his two-year-old year and turned him out to grow and mature, giving him the time we felt he needed before beginning his education. Although he had 30 days of prior training, we chose to start from the ground up and build him our way.

In November of 2024, Mark brought him in to begin his official training with us. Just two weeks later, we experienced a devastating barn fire while we were stalling at the Minnesota Equestrian Center. Sully happened to be in a round pen set up in the warm-up arena, and that moment proved to be significant. As horses were turned loose into the arena during the emergency, Sully became a steady presence—drawing the other horses to him.

After relocating barns, Sully spent the winter inside continuing his education and progressing in his training.

A family who had previously visited us in Winona had noticed Sully out in the pasture, they were just in the beginning stages of searching for a horse.  At the time, Sully hadn’t yet been brought in, and they weren’t in a hurry. But he had made an impression. They stayed in touch, followed his progress, and ultimately decided he was the one—welcoming Sully into their family.
