Training - $1,500/Month

At Baus Horses, the training program is built around creating willing, dependable  horses with foundations that last. Each horse is approached as an individual, with training tailored to their mind, ability and long-term purpose.  Honesty and realistic timelines, and the horse's best interest always come first. Our goal is to develop horses that are safer, more enjoyable, and better prepared for success in whatever path that lies ahead of them.

We are strong believers in a forage-based feeding program. Our horses having access to hay 24/7, with grain, supplements, or additional feed introduced only as each horse's individual needs require. Continued access to forage supports digestive health, reduces the risk of ulcers, and lowers the risk of colic by keeping the digestive system moving. Much of our alfalfa is sourced out west and selected for exceptional feed value. High quality hay helps support their respiratory and overall wellness as properly sourced hay reduces dust and mold exposure. When nutritional needs are met, many horses will improve over their topline, coats and hoof quality.  Forage also provides a slower, more consistent energy compared to grain diets, often resulting in calmer, more manageable horse.
