Sunny Buns

This pony came from the most loving home! They had a hard time parting with him for sure! They were very honest and said he doesn't lope. We watched some of the videos they had and figured he just wasn't schooled on it. There were videos of him loping beauitfully in the pasture, but we wouldn't know until we got him. 

Once we got him, his first ride was with Maisy bareback in a rope halter! He is the sweetest boy! We even let her go out on the trials with him for the first time and he was flawless! I'm going to be honest - I completely understand why nobody taught him to lope under saddle. His trot is so comfortable and he is so good with the kids! I am not sure we'll teach him to lope either! lol He was an unexpected addition to our family of horses, but we're not mad about it! :-)

In March of 2026 Maisy made her very first horse show debut with Sunny Buns! They did all the classes available to them in the walk/trot ranch division. They placed 3rd in Halter out of 18, 4th in 13 & Under Walk Trot Ranch Pleasure & 6th in Ranch Rail. Sunny Bun was a superstar and it was amazing to see him floating around the ring with our little girl and his long blonde locks! Because he's always briaded we don't get to see him go with his hair down often - SO GORGEOUS! 

He even did a little demo to some friends of ours on how to teach the laydown. 

From a parents perspective...this pony made the horse show so easy because not once did he make a wrong move! There was no schooling needed, no naughty behavior to correct or even worry about, he is the same pony every ride! #priceless 

If you are looking for a safe pony or small horse, Sunny Buns is as easy as they come! He packs the kids around, yet he's stout enough for adults! He's ready for lessons, arena riding, trail riding or obstacle courses!  We had no regrets adding him to our family, and we've got him tuned up even more for the next family and we are positive you will have no regrets! 

We decided the Fall Round Up 2026 in St George, Utah - October 3, 2026 will be the sale he goes to. This way we can enjoy the summer with him and the kids can keep learning, riding and having fun on him. We have always loved the Falll Round Up and the crew out there and are excited to have the kids be a part of it this year with Sunny Buns!
